Nine uniformed firefighters stand in a line with hands raised for an oath-taking ceremony. They are facing forward with an American flag and another flag behind them. People in the foreground hold up phones to capture the moment.
Today is an exciting day for our 9 newest firefighters. These men were all presented their badge and took their oath of office as a Firefighter for South Montgomery County. They will begin their rotations on shifts starting tomorrow at 06:00.

These men first started their application process over two months ago and competed against more than 80 applicants to successfully earn a position with our Department…. They have spent the last three weeks in orientation. We wish them all the very best as they begin their career in the Fire Service.
