On Monday February 26th the South Montgomery County Fire Department was recognized at the Texas Fire Chief’s Association Executive Leadership Conference in Austin, as being the 9th fire department in Texas and first in the greater Houston area to receive the recognition of Texas Fire Chief’s Best Practices.

Deputy Chief Erickson accepted the plaque and spoke about the experience of the program. Chief Erickson was instrumental in South Montgomery County achieving this recognition after a multi year evaluation of the operations and administration of the Department.
