The South Montgomery County Fire Department is a rapidly growing all-career department 30 minutes north of Houston. The district covers approximately 53 square miles with a population of 85,000 plus. Over the last twelve years, the district has grown from one staffed station to six stations. We have exhausted our last several hiring lists and are still growing. Annual Salary
Probationary Firefighter: Annual Salary: $49,528.81 Qualification Requirements: TCFP FF basic, TDSHS EMT-Basic. Successfully complete hiring process
Firefighter I: Annual Salary: $52,230.38 Qualification Requirements: Must be employed for a minimum of 12 months and have completed the phase program
Firefighter 2: Annual Salary: $54,931.95 Qualification Requirements: Minimum of three (3) years of service. Complete a minimum of 250 training hours per year. Must have completed one (1) A-List course and eight (8) B- List courses not including ICS 100, 200, 700, 701a, 702a, 703a, 704, 800.
Firefighter 3: Annual Salary: $57,633.52 Qualification Requirements: Minimum of five (5) years of service and maintain at least 250 hours of training in each year. Must have two (2) A-List courses and 20 B-List courses completed.
