Texas Fire Chiefs Best Practices Recognition

On Monday, February 26th, the South Montgomery County Fire Department was recognized at the Texas Fire Chief’s Association Executive Leadership Conference in Austin as being the 9th fire department in Texas and the first in the greater Houston area to receive the recognition of Texas Fire Chief’s Best Practices.

Deputy Chief Erickson accepted the plaque and spoke about the experience of the program. Chief Erickson was instrumental in South Montgomery County achieving this recognition after a multi-year evaluation of the department's operations and administration.
