At approximately 11:50 a.m. on June 17, 2026, South Montgomery County Fire Department crews were dispatched to a reported structure fire at the Rayford’s Edge Apartments near I-45 North and Briarcrest Drive. Crews made an aggressive attack and quickly brought the fire under control. There were no injuries reported. The building did sustain heavy damage.
The cause is under investigation by the Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office.
