Around 12:09 p.m. on August 12, 2026, crews were dispatched to a vehicle fire on the northbound I-45 flyover at Woodlands Parkway.
Crews arrived within minutes and quickly extinguished the fire. Unfortunately, the vehicle sustained extensive damage.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
This incident is also a reminder that vehicle fires can develop quickly. If you encounter a vehicle fire, safely pull over when possible, turn off the engine, get everyone out, and move a safe distance away from the vehicle. Call 911 and never attempt to re-enter the vehicle.
