South Montgomery County citizens expect and need its firefighters to be skilled, proficient, and prepared to handle any emergency that arises.
It’s not enough for us to walk into our firehouse and pretend we’re ready; instead, we need to actually be ready. There are several ways we accomplish this, including:
- Extensive training
- Regular drills
- Fire scenarios
- Preplanning evolutions
- Publication review
- Video training
At South Montgomery County Fire Department, we have an extensive continuing education and training program, and we expect our firefighters to complete daily training to build and maintain their skill sets.
