The South Montgomery County Fire Department family is growing.

Today is an exciting day for our 9 newest firefighters. These men were all presented their badge and took their oath of office as a Firefighter for South Montgomery County. They will begin their rotations on shifts starting tomorrow at 06:00 as the District places Engine 11-6 in service to assist in providing emergency response to the growing east side of our District. This is the first addition of resources... in 4 years.

These men first started their application process over two months ago and competed against more than 50 applicants to successfully earn a position with our Department. They have spent the last two weeks learning the basics of our department. We wish them all the very best as they begin their career in the Fire Service.
