Yesterday E11-1 Crew Eric Mendez, Corby McKenzie, Nathan Morrow and BC11-1 Mike Johnson were recognized with a Lifesaver award and reunited with Mr Keith Madison after saving his life. Mr. Madison was taking his dog for a drive in his vehicle when he suffered cardiac arrest and crashed into a tree. Chief Johnson arrived, assessed the situation, and directed SMCFD rescue crews to remove Mr. Madison from his vehicle and begin CPR. MCHD Medic unit arrived, defibrillated, and regained pulses. He expressed his unmeasurable gratitude to the crew members and is thankful for the blessing of more time with his family.
