South Montgomery County Fire Department would like to Congratulate the following personnel who were promoted this evening at the Montgomery County ESD8 Board Meeting to the rank of Lieutenant.

Lieutenant Chris Watson Assigned to B-6
Lieutenant David Maybin Assigned to B-4
Lieutenant Aaron Steely Assigned to C-3

These Lieutenants have all three worked diligently to obtain a leadership position in our organization and have earned the right to wear the gold bugle and red helmet while being assigned their own crew. Each of these men started out at the rank of Firefighter and successfully promoted into the rank of Engineer/Operator. After excelling in that position, they went through a several month long preparation process to successfully complete our Lieutenant promotional selection process. These men are highly respected within the organization apparent by all the off duty firefighters who came to support them tonight. We wish them all the success in their new positions.
