Around 1230pm on January 18th, 2022, South Montgomery County Fire Department units were dispatched to a reported fire in a garage.

Units were dispatched to a reported fire in a garage attached to a residence in the Benders Landing Estates neighborhood. Units went on location with heavy smoke and fire from a large 2 story home. An immediate second alarm was called due to the size of the home. Units had the scene under control in 45 minutes due to the size of the home and long-distance water supply. Homeowners and occupants were out safely. Units on scene were assisted by Porter Fire Department, Spring Fire Department, Timberlakes Volunteer Fire Dept, Montgomery County Fire Marshal's Office, and Montgomery County Hospital District.
