Just before 3pm South County Fire was notified of a residential structure fire on San Jacinto River Dr. in the Creekside subdivision. Crews arrived within 6 minutes to find smoke and fire coming from the side near the rear of the structure. L-11-4 immediately stretched a line into the house and was able to locate the seat of the fire. Assisted by Engine 11-2 inside the crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire limiting the damage and preventing a complete loss of the structure.

Station 4 and 2 were assisted by South County Station 6 and 3 along with Porter Fire Department. The Montgomery County Hospital District provided EMS standby.

Even given the 95 degree outside temperatures, the fire was declared under control within 10 minutes of arrival. There were no injuries reported. Great job by all the crews on the scene.

The fire is being investigated by the Montgomery County Fire Marshall’s Office.
