Around 11:00am Station 3 was dispatched to check smoke in the area of Curry Rd and Robinson Rd. Eng 11-3 and Battalion 11-1 arrived on location within 2 minutes to find a 2100 sq ft abandoned house heavily involved with fire. The response was upgraded to a structure fire which brought in assistance from South County station 1 and 2, The Woodlands fire Station 1 along with those , Needham Fire station 1 and 2 Spring Fire and Magnolia Fire sent Tankers to provide additional water as the area is not serviced by fire hydrants. The Montgomery County Hospital District provided EMS for the scene. Crews were able to extinguish the fire to prevent further spread to other Structures. There were no injuries.

The Montgomery County Fire Marshall’s office is investigating the cause of the fire.
