Just before 10:30 multiple calls came into 911 reporting a house fire in the Harmony subdivision. Station 11-4 and 11-6 both arrived with in five minutes and found smoke and fire coming from a two story residence. Crews entered the structure and located the fire in the attic and were able to quickly extinguish. Crews then began ensuring there was no further extension. We were able to declare the fire under control within 30 minutes upon arrival.

Due the quick response and quick actions the house sustained only minimal structure damage from the fire. There were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire was determined to be a lightning strike.

Station 4 and 6 were assisted by South County Station 2 along with Porter and Spring fire departments. Montgomery County Hospital District provided EMS for the scene. The crews then left this call for another structure fire in The Falls of Imperial Oaks. That fire was quickly extinguished preventing any further damage.
