The average taxable value of a residence homestead in Montgomery County Emergency
Service District No. 8 last year was $239,928. Based on last year's tax rate of $0.1000 per
$100 of taxable value, the amount of taxes imposed last year on the average home was
$239.93.

Service District No. 8 this year is $255,065. If the governing body adopts the effective
tax rate for this year of $0.0947 per $100 of taxable value, the amount of taxes imposed
this year on the average home would be $241.55.

If the governing body adopts the proposed tax rate of $0.1000 per $100 of taxable value,
the amount of taxes imposed this year on the average home would be $255.07.
